Bwizard.
Bwizard is a first-person shooter inspired by games by like Doom (2016),Duke Nukem, Hexen and Amid Evil made on Unreal Engine 4. The game will revolve around a wizard who hunts for eldritch artifacts across a series of medieval-fantasy inspired levels, each filled with dangerous monsters who the player must vanquish in order to gain their prize.

Role: Designer/Programmer
Games Design.
For Bwizard, I created a comprehensive design document. This included conceptual map designs, designs for a variety of AI enemy types including melee, ranged and a Boss, a multitude of weapons with alternate fire modes and a blizzard mechanic design to always be pushing the player forward.
I also worked alongside Jack Mitchell to create a soundtrack that would fit the game’s style and pace to help elevate it into a better game.
Level Design.
I tasked myself with creating multiple levels for Bwizard, progressing in a linear fashion. This involved careful enemy, pickup and weapon placements in order to balance the game correctly.
I constructed the levels from BSP blockout to meshing, lighting and post-processing.
Technical Design/Scripting.
Bwizard was an ambitious project in which I aimed to create a Doom-like shooter from scratch (apart from the assets).
In order to do this, I constructed a variety of enemies for the player to face using four unique weapons each with their own primary and alternate fire mode. The weapons each had their own ammo system meaning different pickups would need to be integrated alongside the standard health and shield pickups.
I also created a slowly encroaching Blizzard mechanic to damage the players if they are taking too long to proceed further into the game.
