Development.
Development Period: Jan 2020 - April 2020
Role: Junior Tech/Associate Designer.
Technical Design/Scripting.
In this project I took the role of junior designer. For this role, I was tasked with creating four mini-games that the design team provided.
I found this an incredibly informative time as I learned new skills such as the basics of AI.
Collaboration.
This was the first “professional” collaborative project I worked on for university, meaning we had weekly meetings and had to keep Jira up to date. This new professional setting meant I needed to utilise my communication skills regularly to talk to the design team and my fellow tech roles to make sure I was doing the correct tasks and to make changes to the games when testing showed there were issues.
Games Design.
While my primary role was in tech, I helped to completely rework the Fishing’s Finest gameplay as the first iteration that I prototyped proved to be boring in gameplay, making the testers dread the game.
I also blocked out, meshed and post-processed three of the mini-games.
